Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney took to X on Saturday to congratulate the countries celebrating Europe Day.
"Canada and Europe are united in our values of pluralism, the rule of law, and democracy," he wrote. "On Europe Day, we're building on that foundation to forge new strategic partnerships, deepen our trade, and stand steadfast with Ukraine."
Carney recently announced that Canada will maintain its sanctions against Russia in support of Ukraine.
